The Cleveland Clinic Florida has decided to close the kidney transplant program effective Dec 31, 2004. Currently all new patient transplant evaluations have been suspended. Post-transplant patients may continue to receive their care through the Nephrology department if they so choose. Patients currently on the waiting list need to be evaluated at a new transplant program. If they are accepted by another transplant program, accrued waiting time can be transfered to the new center.
